Chiropractic treatments focus on the relationship between spine, brain and body. There are many styles of Chiropractic from gentle to more direct techniques. Most of the techniques and assessments are done by skillful palpation and a variety of manual inputs, ranging from incredibly gentle to succinct adjustments in order to restore fluid movement and alleviate pain.

Dr. Anna Pietrolungo, the principle chiropractor, has had many years dealing with musculoskeletal therapies.
Anna’s personal experiences with chiropractic treatments started after a ballet accident, which caused many imbalances and abnormalities of movement. Orthopeadic care and conventional medicine had no answers for her at that time, and eventually she turned to the alternative medicine and care of a chiropractor.
Through her experiences and the diligent care she received, her passion for how the human body could restore function and move was ignited.
Her journey took her through studying various modalities and acquiring several qualifications including Massage therapy, Remedial Massage, Myotherapy, Bowen therapy, Craniosacral therapy and Chiropractic Care.
Her journey of education is still not finished, as her belief is that you never stop learning. The chiropractic course at RMIT has provided Anna with a solid series of skills from assessment and examination to Manual treatment and the knowledge of when to refer to other medical disciplines.
Some of the chiropractic and Allied health techniques Anna has further delved into are Applied kinesiology Technique,(AK), Functional Neuro-orthopeadic Rehabilitation (FNOR), Sacro-occipital technique (SOT), Bio-geometric Integration (BGI), Dynamic Neuro-Stabilisation (DNS), and Paediatrics and Pregnancy care.
Dr. Anna’s Daughter, Chiara, a qualified Personal Trainer, is also studying to be a chiropractor and will eventually join the practice in some capacity down the track. With her dynamic approach to exercise coupled with her growing knowledge, Chiara brings an enthusiastic approach to educating and guiding your rehab and exercise needs.
We hope to build a practice built around individually focused and evidence based care as well as being sensitive to the miracles the body can perform with the guidance of succinct and sensitive treatment.
